1. Data We Collect

When you sign in with Discord, we receive your Discord username, email address, avatar image, and Discord user ID. When you use the platform, we collect:

• Social media account URLs and usernames you link
• Clip URLs you submit
• View counts, likes, comments, and shares from public platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube)
• Earnings and payout data
• Wallet addresses for crypto payouts
• IP addresses for security and fraud prevention
• Chat messages sent within the platform

If you choose to connect your TikTok account to Clippers HQ, we also receive data directly from TikTok. Section 4 explains exactly what that is, what we do with it, and how you disconnect.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use collected data for: operating the platform, calculating earnings based on clip views, processing payout requests, detecting and preventing fraud, communicating with you about campaigns and account status via in-app notifications and email, improving the service, and maintaining platform security.

3. Data Sharing

We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the platform:

• Discord (sign in, and the Clippers HQ Discord server roles and campaign announcements)
• Railway (application hosting)
• Supabase (database hosting and file storage)
• Resend (transactional email delivery)
• Sentry (error and performance monitoring)
• Ably (real time delivery of in-app notifications)
• HikerAPI (public Instagram post statistics)
• LamaTok (public TikTok post statistics)
• Google, through the YouTube Data API (public YouTube post statistics)
• ScrapeBadger (public TikTok and YouTube profile information used to verify a linked account)
• TikHub (public Instagram profile information used to verify a linked account)

The statistics providers listed above are sent a public post or profile link so they can return the public view, like, comment and share counts for it. They are not sent your email address, your wallet address, your earnings, or your chat messages.

4. Connecting Your TikTok Account (TikTok API)

Clippers HQ offers an optional TikTok account connection. You never have to connect. If you do not connect, nothing about your account, your clips, your campaigns or your earnings is affected.

What we access

If you connect, we access two things through TikTok's official API, and nothing else:

• Your own TikTok profile identity: the account identifier TikTok issues for you, and the basic profile details shown on TikTok's authorization screen, such as your display name and avatar.
• The performance figures of your own posts: view count, like count, comment count, share count, the time the post was published, its length, and its link.

We do not receive your TikTok password, your private messages, your drafts, your follower list, your email address, or your phone number.

How consent works

The connection is only created after you start it yourself and then approve it on TikTok's own authorization screen, which is hosted by TikTok and lists exactly what you are granting. If you do not approve on that screen, no connection is made and we receive nothing. TikTok issues us an access credential only after you approve.

What we use it for

One purpose only: confirming the performance of clips you submitted to a Clippers HQ campaign, so that what you earn is calculated from an accurate view count. We do not use TikTok data for advertising, for profiling you, for ranking creators against each other, for a public directory, or for resale.

What we never do

• We never post, upload, edit, delete or schedule anything on your TikTok account. We do not ask for the permission that would let us.
• We never access a TikTok account you do not own. The connection is bound to the account that approved it.
• We never share, sell or license TikTok data to any third party. It is not passed to advertisers, data brokers, brands, or other Clippers HQ users.

What we store

We store the access credential TikTok issues, encrypted, together with your TikTok account identifier, which permissions you granted, and the dates of the connection. Post performance figures are read from TikTok at the moment they are needed. Where a figure is used to calculate an earning on one of your clips, that figure is stored with that clip's record, in the same way as a figure from any other source we use.

How to disconnect

You can withdraw this permission at any time, in either of these ways:

• In the TikTok app or on tiktok.com, remove Clippers HQ from your app permissions. TikTok stops honouring our credential immediately.
• Email us at noreply@clipershq.com and ask us to disconnect it. We ask TikTok to revoke the credential and we delete our stored copy.

What happens to your data when you disconnect

The stored credential is deleted and we stop reading anything from your TikTok account from that point. We keep a short record that a connection existed and when it ended, containing your TikTok account identifier and those dates and no post data, so there is an accurate trail of a permission that was granted and withdrawn. That record is deleted when you ask us to delete your account under Section 7. A view figure that was already used to calculate an earning you were paid stays attached to that clip's record, because it forms part of your payment history.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies only. This includes a NextAuth session cookie for authentication and a PKCE verification cookie for secure Discord OAuth flow. We do not use advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies.

6. Data Retention

Your account data is kept while your account is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Aggregate anonymized data (total platform views, earnings statistics) may be retained.

7. Your Rights

You can request a copy of your data, request correction of inaccurate data, or request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at noreply@clipershq.com.

8. Updates

We may update this policy with notice via the platform or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. By using the platform, you consent to this policy.
